01 Introduction
This policy explains how personal information is collected, used, and protected across the public-facing platforms operated by Alex, doing business as TheDigitalNookByAlex (digital products on Etsy) and All On Black Gaming (the AOB gaming community and its LOS x AOB scrim initiative).
It covers:
These are small, independently operated platforms — not a corporation with a dedicated legal or privacy team. This policy is written to be genuinely accurate to how these platforms actually work, in plain language, rather than generic boilerplate. If anything here is unclear, the contact section below explains how to ask.
02 Information We Collect
What's collected depends entirely on which platform you're using. Each one is handled separately below.
TheDigitalNookByAlex (Etsy Shop)
All checkout, payment, and shipping/delivery information is collected and processed directly by Etsy, not by us — see the Etsy Shop section below. As the seller, we only see what Etsy's own seller dashboard exposes: your order details, the digital files purchased, and the content of any messages you send us through Etsy's messaging system. We never receive your payment card details directly.
AOB x LOS Scrim Hub (scrimhub-aobxlos.lovable.app)
Scrim Hub uses "Login with Discord" to authenticate users — see the Discord OAuth section below for what that involves. Beyond your Discord profile information, Scrim Hub collects whatever scrim and match-related information you enter yourself: team names, rosters, scheduling availability, and match results. We don't separately collect payment information, location data, or device fingerprinting on this platform.
Nook Command Center (nook-command-core.base44.app)
This is an internal operations dashboard used to run TheDigitalNookByAlex — it isn't designed to collect personal information from outside visitors. If you're an outside visitor viewing it, treat anything displayed there as internal business tracking, not a form collecting your data. If that ever changes (for example, a future contact form is added), this policy will be updated first.
Future AOB or LOS Community Websites
Any new public-facing site launched under the AOB or LOS banner will follow the same principles in this policy: collect only what's needed to run the feature in question, disclose it here, and never sell personal data. If a future site introduces a meaningfully new category of data collection (e.g., real-money payments, location tracking), this policy will be updated to specifically cover it before that feature goes live.
Across all platforms, we do not use third-party advertising trackers, sell personal data to data brokers, or run cross-site ad retargeting pixels.
03 How We Use Your Information
Information collected through these platforms is used only for the following purposes:
- Fulfilling Etsy orders and responding to buyer messages and questions
- Operating the Scrim Hub — matching teams, scheduling scrims, and displaying results to participants
- Administering the AOB Discord server (roles, tryouts, the tryout ticket system, and related community functions)
- Responding to support requests or inquiries sent via Etsy Messages or Discord
- Maintaining basic security and abuse prevention (for example, blocking spam or abusive Discord accounts from Scrim Hub)
- Internal record-keeping for the businesses described in this policy
We do not use your information for purposes unrelated to the platform you used to provide it, and we do not sell or rent personal information to third parties.
04 Discord OAuth (Scrim Hub)
The AOB x LOS Scrim Hub uses Discord's official OAuth login ("Login with Discord") as its only sign-in method. There is no separate username/password system — your identity on Scrim Hub is your Discord account.
When you log in, Discord asks you to approve specific permissions ("scopes") before any information is shared with Scrim Hub. Depending on the scopes requested, this typically includes your Discord username, user ID, and avatar — only what's needed to identify you within the Scrim Hub and link your scrim activity to your Discord identity for the AOB and LOS communities.
A few important points about this integration:
- We never see or store your Discord password — Discord's OAuth flow never shares it with us, by design.
- You can revoke Scrim Hub's access at any time from your own Discord account settings under Authorized Apps, without contacting us.
- Discord's own privacy practices govern any data Discord itself retains — see Discord's privacy policy for that side of things.
- If you revoke access or leave the AOB/LOS Discord servers, your Scrim Hub login will stop working, and you can request deletion of any scrim data tied to your account (see Your Rights).
05 Etsy Shop
TheDigitalNookByAlex operates entirely within Etsy's marketplace, and Etsy — not us — handles all payment and transaction data. This includes your payment card or other payment method details, billing address, and the actual processing of your purchase.
Specifically:
- We never receive, see, or store your full payment card details. Etsy processes all payments directly.
- Etsy provides sellers with order information needed to fulfill the order (which digital item was purchased, and the buyer's Etsy username and any message sent), but not full payment instrument data.
- Any disputes, refunds, or buyer protection claims related to payment are handled through Etsy's own systems and policies, not directly by us.
- Etsy's own privacy policy governs the data Etsy collects and processes as the platform and payment processor — see the link in the Third-Party Services section below.
Because all our products are instant digital downloads, no physical shipping address is collected or required.
06 Cookies & Local Storage
Our own dashboards and internal tools (including the Nook Command Center and similar operational pages) are built to use the browser's localStorage only — a standard browser feature that stores data directly on your own device, not on a remote server we control. We do not use this for tracking; it exists purely so a tool remembers its own state (like a saved task list) between visits, on your device only.
We do not set third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on any platform we directly control. Etsy, Discord, Pinterest, and any other third-party service linked from our platforms may set their own cookies under their own policies — see Third-Party Services below for what we don't control.
Because data stored in localStorage lives on your own device, clearing your browser's site data or using a different browser/device will remove it — there's no central copy on our end to separately delete in that case.
07 Third-Party Services
These platforms rely on the following third-party services, each governed by its own separate privacy policy that we don't control:
| Service | Used for | Their policy |
|---|---|---|
| Etsy | Marketplace hosting, checkout, payment processing, buyer messaging | etsy.com/legal/privacy |
| Discord | Community hosting, OAuth login for Scrim Hub, server roles and moderation | discord.com/privacy |
| Marketing content distribution (pins linking back to our Etsy listings) | policy.pinterest.com/privacy-policy | |
| Google Drive | Internal file storage and backup for business operations | policies.google.com/privacy |
We encourage reviewing each service's own policy if you want the full detail on what they collect — our use of them is limited to the purposes listed above.
08 Data Retention
We keep information only as long as it's needed for the purpose it was collected for:
- Etsy order and message data is retained according to Etsy's own systems and any applicable tax/legal recordkeeping requirements — generally, as long as your Etsy order history exists on Etsy's platform.
- Scrim Hub / Discord-linked data is retained for as long as your account is active in the AOB or LOS communities, or until you request deletion — whichever comes first.
- localStorage data on internal dashboards stays on your own device until you clear it; we don't separately retain a copy.
We don't indefinitely stockpile personal information beyond these purposes, and we periodically remove data tied to inactive or deleted accounts where practical.
09 Your Rights
Regardless of which platform you used, you have the right to:
| Right | What it means |
|---|---|
| Access | Ask what information we hold about you tied to your Etsy, Discord, or Scrim Hub identity |
| Correction | Ask us to correct inaccurate information we hold directly (not data held by Etsy or Discord themselves) |
| Deletion | Ask us to delete Scrim Hub data tied to your Discord account, or any message history we hold from Etsy |
| Opt-out | Stop using a given platform at any time — revoke Discord OAuth access, or simply stop messaging/ordering on Etsy |
To exercise any of these rights, use the contact methods in the Contact section below. We'll respond as promptly as we reasonably can — these are small, independently run platforms without a dedicated support team, so please allow a reasonable amount of time for a personal reply.
10 Children's Privacy
These platforms are not directed at, and are not intended for use by, children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
If we become aware that we've inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13 — for example, through a Discord account or Etsy order — we will delete that information as soon as reasonably possible. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the details in the Contact section so we can address it.
11 Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated from time to time — for example, if a new platform launches, a new third-party service is introduced, or a feature changes how data is collected. When that happens:
- The "Effective date" at the top of this page will be updated to reflect the most recent revision.
- Material changes (anything that meaningfully changes what's collected or how it's used) will be called out clearly rather than buried in unrelated edits.
- Because these are small platforms without a mailing list or push-notification system, we don't send individual change notices — checking this page periodically is the way to stay current.
12 Contact
Questions, requests, or concerns about this policy should go through the platform you're already using:
This policy is governed by the laws of the United States. By using any of the platforms listed at the top of this page, you acknowledge that you've read and understood how your information is handled, as described above.
